Candace Clarke has a seemingly perfect life. She married her handsome high school sweetheart, she’s got an intelligent daughter, and she’s the top salesperson at her travel agency. And yet… she’s not happy. Candace doesn’t realize it, but she’s completely out of touch with her needs and desires. But everything changes when she accidentally stumbles upon Jackson Campbell: a handsome 23-year-old TikToker named who lip-syncs eighties songs and doesn’t seem to own a shirt. Jackson awakens something in Candace she didn’t even know was sleeping. And as she gets sucked further and further into the toxic parasocial world of Jackson and his rabid fans, she puts her perfectly-curated life at risk.
